The 2012 Austin Area Mother-Friendly Birth Professionals Awards are a project of the Get Babied Doula Collective, the Central Texas Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition and the Pregnancy and Postpartum Health Alliance of Texas. Together, our mission is to recognize the Austin area birth professionals that are going out of their way to provide quality care for the women of Austin. It’s our job to provide educational support to women throughout their childbearing years. A result of the yearly poll is a list of the best referrals for pregnancy care in Austin, selected and voted on by real people to determine the best and brightest mother-friendly birth professionals the city has to offer. Over 6000 people voted last year, and we hope even more will participate this year. Spread the word!

Vote for your favorite birth professional in each category.
The first round until the end of June will consist of writing in your favorites. In July, you can vote for the top four professionals in each category.
All votes will be counted, including the votes received in round 1 of open write in and round 2 of top four voting. Winners in each category will receive a fantastic gift donated by upstanding Austin birth pros, bragging rights, a banner to display on their website and at their office, and they will be honored at an awards ceremony. Winners will also be listed on the Austin Birth Awards website through the 2013 voting season, and written up in ParentWise Magazine.
Voting runs until Labor Day. The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in October. Thanks for participating and helping us identify the best that Austin has to offer families.
